Model Event
In the week before the Madeira Orientation Festival 2026, four Model Training Events will be available in different locations on Madeira Island, between the 5th and 8th of January 2026.

January 5th
Ponta do Sol
From 10am to 5pm

Orienteering training on a route full of emotion, where every step is an adventure. Between slopes that test your resistance, quiet paths and levadas that wind through the landscape, you will feel the true rural essence. And to make everything even more special, the route passes through lush banana plantations, creating a tropical and vibrant environment that you won't find anywhere else.

Chão da Ribeira (Seixal)

A challenging terrain, marked by uneven levels and dense vegetation, which will test your technique and endurance. Each checkpoint will be an achievement in the middle of a deep forest, where nature imposes itself with all its strength and beauty. Train on one of the most emblematic maps of the island, the stage for numerous regional, national and international competitions. This scenario offers a unique diversity of terrain that challenges the athletes' fine technique. All of this accompanied by views that simply take your breath away. Each route is an opportunity to improve yourself in a place that is a reference for athletes from all over the world.
