Additional Information – STAGE 3 and STAGE 4 (Camacha)

Stage 3 of MOF 2026 in Camacha counts for the IOF Sprint World Ranking in HE and DE only. No scoring for any FPO cup or circuit.

Stage 4 of MOF 2026 counts for Euro Tour City Race and Portugal City Race circuits in all categories.

For this reason, and at the organization’s request to FPO, this stage will no longer count for the Portugal Sprint Cup and will now count for the Portugal City Race.

Euro Tour City Race / Portugal City Race – Mass Start

·         The Euro City Race and Portugal City Race starts at 16:30 with a mass start for all competition classes.

·         In order to standardize the different stages of the MOF, and despite the fact that in the City Race the classes have different denominations or different age groupings, the organization will use the same MOF classes in all stages. A list of results grouping the classes will be created solely for the purpose of the prize giving ceremony of the City Race.

·         The youth and open classes may start freely from 16:45, going directly to the start location (Largo da Achada).

This adjustment allows all athletes to watch the World Ranking Sprint event before the Euro Tour City Race begins. At Largo da Achada there will be:

·         Spectator control

·         Finish area

·         Speaker with radio control updates and race commentary

Combined participation in Elite (WRE) + Seniores (Euro Tour City Race)

Athletes entered in DE or HE for the Sprint WRE who wish to also compete in the Euro Tour City Race may do so. They only need to register for both stages. Only the WRE stage will count toward the final MOF result in DE and HE.

IMPORTANT: Athletes already entered in HE/DE for the afternoon are automatically registered only for the Sprint WRE. If they prefer the City Race or wish to do both, they must update their entry in OriOasis.

December 30 is the entries deadline! After this date, only open classes will be accepted, subject to map availability.

Specific bibs for MOF2026 are mandatory. Bibs must be worn and visible in all stages. No athlete will start without a visible bib.

MOF athlete check-in and participant kit collection will be at the Machico Marina reception near Ludens Clube de Machico headquarters:

·         7 Jan: 10:30–17:00

·         8 Jan: 10:30–17:00

·         9 Jan: 10:30–18:00

Athletes from Madeira registered through regional clubs do not need to go to the MOF secretariat; kits and bibs will be delivered in advance to all AORAM-affiliated clubs.

Orienteering Training, From Monday until Wednesday (5th to 7th January), three orienteering trainings will be available (one of them with Sportident). Very special areas (all in almost new maps).
